Co-write on new Miri song
A while ago, Miri and I wrote ‘Trends’ which she has just released as a single. Listen below. Still such a soulful voice. The video is rather beautiful too.

There are now over 370 songs that I have ready to teach. New resources include a series of riffs based on the pentatonic scale and a series of bass riffs. I’m also adding electric and acoustic guitar songs in all genres constantly. You can view the full list here.
And as always, I’m happy to look up a new song for you that you might want to play. I have subscriptions to access high quality guitar sheet music and tabs.
Recorded this on a rainy afternoon in lockdown. Song by Marvin Gaye. Arrangement by Max Milligan with a few extra things thrown in.
This year, anyone aged 8-16 can have a go at playing in a band, writing their own songs, recording them and playing gigs. Read about band sessions here.
Congratulations to all five of my pupils who recently pass their RGT grade. Issy (Acoustic Grade 5), Elijah (Acoustic Grade 3) and Riya (Acoustic Grade 1) all got distinctions – a fantastic achievement by them all. Connor (Acoustic Graqde 5) and Max (Rock Grade 2) both got merits which was equally impressive as they were the first grade exams either of those guitarists had done – skipping grades isn’t easy!
Had the pleasure of producing a couple of tracks for my friend Hollie a few years ago. She has just released these songs along with some new material. Really unique songwriting. We don’t hear enough whistling in tracks anymore do we?
You can download/stream ‘Bunny Bunny’ and ‘Scales, Weights’ from iTunes, Spotify etc, or listen below now.
This May we will be doing a short tour of the UK, playing a selection of songs from Alessi’s current album ‘Love Is The Currency’ and the best from the previous albums.
It will be fun to play with such talented musicians and as a five piece band, it will be the largest version the ‘Ark’ there has been for a long time.
The London show will be at the Servant Jazz Quarters in Dalston, and will feature the excellent Pollyanna Valentine as the support act.
Ticket details can be found here.
